From El Salvador to Bellingham
Mario moved form El Salvador to Los Angeles fleeing the civil war that invaded the beautiful place he once called home. Once he got to Los Angeles he worked hard and found the love of his life and started a family. Deciding he wanted to raise his daughter elsewhere he went on a search for a new place. Almost twenty years ago he moved his family to the city he had found that he had fallen in love with.
Making Bellingham the Home of Super Mario's
Almost 11 years ago Mario and his wife Raquel decided they wanted to go into a bussness of their own. Knowing that his wife had magical touch in the kitchen he looked into the food service industry. They purchased a truck in L.A and braught it home and found the spot on Forest and champion where the truck still sits. On April 8th 2003 they opened the first food truck in Bellingham. Slowly the truck started making many loyal customers and the years passed and the business grew little by little. The restaurant opened on November 6th of 2009 and now has many loyal customers that travel to the cozy place to enjoy a simple but delicious meal.
Story Behind the name
When Mario came to bellingham he was employed at Trident seafoods for many years as a forklift driver. Being the handyman and Mr. Fixit that he is they would always go to him with troubles. His reply was always "I can fix it" so they started calling him super Mario because there was no task he could not do or anything he could not fix.
